The organization is an international branch of a prominent global bank, operating at a large scale in Hong Kong. They are a mid sized European corporate investment bank with a strong presence in Asia. They are licensed with the SFC and HKMA.

Job Description

As a Compliance Manager (Associate), your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the company's compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and standards within the financial services industry.
  • Developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conducting internal reviews to identify compliance risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Providing compliance training to staff and management.
  • Preparing compliance reports for internal management and regulatory bodies.
  • Advising on the compliance implications of new products and services.
  • Managing relationships with regulators and handling regulatory inquiries and inspections.
  • Participating in key risk and control committees.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Compliance Manager (Associate) should have:

  • A degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • 4-5 years of compliance experience with HKMA regulated entity
  • Proven experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle complex information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • A solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
