Our client is a private banking institution, renowned for the bespoke financial solutions and personalized services. This role will work collaboratively with teams across regions, including our counterparts in Singapore, to deliver unparalleled value to our discerning clientele.

Job Description

  • Partner with Relationship Managers and Product teams to identify clients suitable for structured lending solutions tied to investment products and risk appetite.
  • Facilitate the end-to-end credit approval process, including documentation and coordination with internal credit teams.
  • Conduct initial credit assessments, reviewing financials, verifying client background (KYC), and validating sources of wealth.
  • Draft and manage credit facility agreements and security documents in collaboration with credit administration and legal teams.
  • Ensure all loan documentation is properly executed, perfected, and registered in relevant jurisdictions, engaging external legal counsel when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all credit documentation and ensure secure storage and compliance.
  • Monitor collateral positions daily, flagging risk exposures and coordinating with Relationship Managers on margin calls and the clients' account shortfall.
  • Prepare and deliver regular credit reports and risk summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to system enhancements, including user testing for new platforms such as Avaloq, and support other credit-related initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • University degree with 5-7 years of experience in banking, preferably in credit risk or lending operations.
  • Strong grasp of credit products, regulatory frameworks, and private banking practices.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and assess creditworthiness.
  • Self-driven and capable of managing tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a collaborative and client-focused approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; openness to learning new technologies and digital tools (e.g., AI platforms).
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
